In the future, we plan to enable contributions through a secure online donation center. A contribution to the Northport Promise is an investment in the Northport Public Schools, in the Northport - Omena area and in Leelanau Township. Most importantly, it’s an investment in our children and in our future. Donations to the Northport Promise are being accepted by the Leelanau Township Community Foundation. Direct contributions may be made payable to the foundation and sent to: Leelanau Township Community FoundationPlease specify that the donation is for the Northport Promise. To contact the foundation office, call 231-386-9000. As fiduciary for the Promise, the foundation provides donors all the potential financial advantages of contributions to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The foundation is a tax-exempt public charity created by and for the people of Leelanau Township. It enables people with philanthropic interests to easily and effectively support the issues they care about — immediately, or through their will. Donors can establish a charitable fund at the foundation by contributing a variety of assets and may also recommend grants — in their name, if they choose — to the Northport Promise.
