Lindsay Somero’s Mural of Northport

Public art celebrates what distinguishes one place from another. As her senior project, Lindsey Somero is painting and installing a historical mural of the Northport Harbor. The mural, based on photos taken in 1905, will be approximately 36 by 8 feet and will be attached to the Northport Building Supply hardware building. With the assistance of Tom Woodruff and Jenny Evans, this piece of public art will be installed in the spring of 2020 for all to enjoy. You’ll also see a couple of images of the Northport harbor from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
